So named for their pale yellow skin, Golden Delicious apples feature soft juicy flesh that balances sweetness and acidity equally well. Prone to bruising, Golden Delicious are less prevalent in retail environments, but remain a versatile cooking apple due to their wonderful aroma and balanced flavor. Excellent pressed for ciders or cooked down for butters.
